Thanks to the donations of our generous founding donors, the Foundation has:
funded golf equipment for the PGA REACH Philadelphia 2021 Diversity Scholarship Recipients
granted funds for the beautification of the wildlife habitat environment along the walking path around the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s St. Martins golf course
established partnerships with the Chestnut Hill Conservancy and the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s History Committee to create a walking history tour along that path
Future projects include creating an archive of the history of The Philadelphia Cricket Club (the oldest country club in the United States), providing equipment for amateur athletes in need, creating a program for the beautification and stabilization of Lorraine Run and other environmental entities, and supporting the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship to be held at the Club in 2024.
The 1854 Foundation may support, without limitation, local, regional, national, and international amateur sports competition; preservation and maintenance of public facilities and artifacts related to amateur athletics; and enhancing the local community’s environmental health, beautification, and stabilization.
